This Week's Reminders:

  • We are collecting diapers (size 1 and newborn) to donate to Robbinsdale Women's Center.  Thank you to all who remembered at our last meeting.  We will be delivering them after this week's meeting.
  • Don't forget to appreciate your MOPPET workers.  We want to let them know how grateful we are for their service to us!

This Week's MOPPETS

BOZ Treehouse Time! encourages young children to discover God’s world through play-based, faith-focused activities. The interactive learning experiences will help children know and love God.

BOZ TREEHOUSE TIME! October Topic: ‘What If?’ Week 2

Lesson Overview: Just for you!
This week we will continue to discussing the gift of imagination by talking about our shadows. Unless the weather is especially lovely so the children can go outside we will be going to the Surge Room for active jumping to music and playing with flashlights.

  • Memory Verse: God created everything. (1 Corinthians 8:6)
  • Biblical Concept: We are made in the image and likeness of God, the Creator.
  • Concept in Action: I can be creative
  • Snack: (October 22nd) Homemade Cinnamon Chex mix with candy corn (see poem below). (Chex Cereal for Cruisers)

You might like to say this poem with your child in honor of the season

Candy Corn!
White is for the sins that Jesus washed away,
Orange is for the new hope the Lord gives each day.
Yellow is for His wisdom and words so sweet,
All wrapped up in this candy corn treat!

And here is another one

Glowing with God’s Love (Poem)

Some people take a pumpkin (arms circled in front)
Carve mouth and eyes and nose
And put inside a flashlight (hands together, moving back and forth in front)
So that their pumpkin glows

I do not need a flashlight (shake head “no”)
Like pumpkin faces do
My glow starts deep inside me (fist on chest)
God’s love comes straight to you! (point to the other person)

Connect With Other MOMS!

Do you have a blog or business that you'd like to share with the other moms in our group? Send us an email with your URL and we'll share it on the sidebar of our main Maple Grove MOPS blog!

**Please remember that we only want to connect with blogs that are honoring to Jesus and to one another, and that will not be a stumbling block to anyone who "stumbles" upon our blog.

   Save the Date:

Craft Night: October 25th at 7:00. Join us for a crafty night of fun and fellowship.  We will be making soap pumps to sell at the bake sale. Feel free to bring your own project and come ready to chat!  Also, bring a treat to share.
Bake Sale: November 22nd and 23rd. It's not too late to join our Bake Sale committee.  Come serve together to organize our biggest (and hopefully ONLY) fundraiser for MOPS.  Also keep in mind how you would like to contribute otherwise (baked goods, crafts to sell, etc.)
