This Week's Guest Speaker
Kristen Taraszewski
"Balancing Your Role as Wife and Mom"

Kristen started her career in 1989 as a flight control engineer at NASA working for the Space Shuttle Program.  She met her husband at work and after dating for many years, they married and had their first child (of three) one year later.  She believed in her calling to put her career temporarily aside and stay home with her children but was unprepared for the challenges that decision would bring.  While searching for a new purpose and identity, she felt God's hand leading her to start a ministry for women trying to find balance between work and parenting.  She founded a ministry called Right At Home, which has grown into a national organization leading women to the peace of Christ as they work through the joys and challenges of motherhood.  Kristen hopes to teach and model balance in health and faith to lead women to connect with God's ever-present peace and love and to become the women God created them to be.

This Week's Reminders

  • Brunch is provided by the Lighthouse Ladies.  Please be sure to email your recipes to maplegrovemops@gmail.com to be included in our blog and contest.
  • Our Zumba instructor had a family emergency over the weekend, so we will NOT be doing Zumba at our meeting.  You are always welcome to dress comfortably anyway, but workout clothes will not be necessary.

Craft Night
You've marked your calendars, and now it's finally here!  Dust off your loom and come join us for a night of fun!  If you have something that you've been dying to work on away from the kiddos (sewing, Christmas gifts, scrapbooking, card making, knitting, crocheting, etc.), now's you're chance.  We will have a few fleece baby blankets to knot and pray over for Robbinsdale Women's Center if you don't have something to work on from home.  Or maybe you don't "craft" and would like to come and just socialize...this night is also for you!  If you plan to join us, please bring something "snackie" to share.  Also, please RSVP to deeyoder@comcast.net as soon as possible.  See you there!

Recipes
Just a reminder that when you contribute something to our brunches together, we greatly appreciate if you are willing to share the recipe!  Email your recipes to maplegrovemops@gmail.com and we will post a picture of your dish with the recipe on our Mops Get Cooking blog.  This is a fun way to share our ideas via an online cookbook.  Also, please be stopping by the blog to comment under your favorite dishes.  Those with the most comments at the end of the year will be brought back as an encore for our final meeting!
**If you brought something for brunch in the past and forgot to send the recipe, it's not too late!  Send us an email!
