January 10th Meeting

Our next meeting is, January 10th, 9:30-11:30.  A handful reminders as we look forward to our meeting.

Everyone is encouraged to come early. We know this is so often easier said than done, but the earlier you arrive the more time you will have to check in your kids. Make sure to ask the greeters to help direct you of where to check in.

Speaker
Our very own Kari Leaman will be presenting next week! Before having children, Kari was an elementary school teacher.  She graduated from the Ohio State University in 2006 with a degree in Early Childhood Development.  She then earned her Masters in Elementary Education and Middle School Science at the University of Minnesota in 2008.  Over the next five years, she had five different teaching positions in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade in four different schools.  While each year brought on new challenges, she was able to learn and grow from each different age, culture, and socio-economic status.  Kari is excited to share with you today about experiencing wonder with your children!

Craft
Our activity on Tuesday will be making Bucket List Ribbons! You will choose a season and write 15 things you'd like to do with your child/ren during that season on clothespins. As you complete activities, you may take the clothespin off of your ribbon. Repeat as you wish with future seasons AND have a cute house decoration to easily hang.

Spring Break
If you have kids who are not registered with MOPS but will need care during spring break, we will know if you plan to bring them with you. Please email MapleGroveMOPS@gmail.com with the details any additional kids you plan to bring with you.

Brunch
The Milky Way has brunch for the meeting. Please remember that Mentor moms will be at the front door only until 9:20 to help you with your food.

For steering meeting on Tuesday, February 7th is the Orion table.
