October 14th Meeting

This Week's Speaker:

Caroline Mandich: Jesus in your Mothering

My husband, Danny and I are both from Canada. I graduated from the University of Western, Ontario. Danny graduated from Ohio State and played hockey for the Minnesota North Stars from 1982 to 1986. when he retired due to an injury, we stayed because we loved the lakes, the people and the way they celebrated family and the seasons. We have been married for over 30 years and have 3 children; Danielle 27, Josh 26 and Grace 21. We are empty nesters (Boo hoo) and are just learning to cook for two again. I love Jesus, great conversations, the outdoors, making family memories and hope to someday have all my photos out of containers and into frames and albums.

This Week's MOPPETS:

Welcome to our second week of MOPPETS!

The theme for our next BOZ session will again be talking about healthy food choices with ‘Double Preppy Pizza’.
BOZ Buzz! Choosing healthy foods is the first theme for BOZ Treehouse Time! this year at MOPPETS. To introduce this topic, invite your child to identify fruits and vegetables in the refrigerator or on the kitchen counter. In the grocery store, see how many items your child can name in the produce department. Perhaps your child can even help you choose healthy options to create a tasty rainbow for supper this week!

  • Memory Verse: God gives me food (Psalm 111:5: He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.)
  • Biblical Concept: God cares for His people
  • Concept in Action: I can enjoy the food God gives me.
  • Snack: October 14th: Fruit pizza: children will create with sugar free jelly, whipped cream cheese, and graham crackers. Younger children will get graham crackers or cheerios.
  • Craft: Veggie printing: cut veggies dipped in colored paint.
Upcoming Events:
  • October 28th: If you would like, have your child dress up in his or her costumes for MOPPETS. Another opportunity to play dress-up!
  • November 25th: We will be taking classroom pictures to share with you and your family only. Be sure to have your child here so they can be included in the class picture with their MOPPETS buddies!
If you would like more information about the BOZ curriculum, please visit BozTheBear.com. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Have a blessed year with MOPS and MOPPETS!
