Mom's live in messes. The toys, crumbs, and spit-up are their normal surroundings. Moms often feel like a mess. They are exhausted, undershowered, and hormonal. Their past and present circumstances and decisions can leave them feeling inadequate for God's love and purposes. A Beautiful Mess-- reminds moms that beauty can come out of their difficult spots. The grime of mothering young children brings the beauty of motherhood. the bruises of life can bring God's redemption. Embrace your story-- reminds moms that their past, present and future can be used for good. God knows where each of us has been, where we are today and has set in motion where we are headed.
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
This Week's guest speaker:
Kristen Spielman
Kristen has a gift for making
the ordinary extraordinarily funny! Warning: her
stories may make you double over and cause your sides to
ache with laughter. Kristen is a wife and mother who keeps her sanity by finding the
hilarity in everyday circumstances.
Since entering marriage and motherhood, instead of viewing life through the "it
happens" lens, she views it though the "make it
happens" lens. We think she is the perfect kick-off for our theme a Beautiful Mess.
This Week's Reminders:
Please enter Maple Grove Evangelical Free Church at the Main (or South) Entrance. When you come in there will be greeters that can direct you where to check in your children (at our computer systems upstairs in the nursery hall) and show you where our meeting will be held (community/gym room). Once you get in the community room, you can find your table (color coded by table names). You should have been contacted or will be shortly by your DGL telling you your table name and color. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at maplegrovemops@gmail.com. We will start promptly at 9:30, so please feel free to come early as we will have workers available as early as 9:15 to drop off your children.

This Week's MOPPETS Program:
Treehouse Time! Growing Colors
Just for you!
At
Creation, God filled the world with color! Although decorators offer
multiple pastel shades for nursery decor, infants and toddlers can most
easily see primary colors with high contrast. In general, a young child
can identify four colors by the age of 4. During the preschool years, a
child not only enjoys God's colorful world but also begins to create new
color combinations during experiments with crayons, paint, and chalk.
- Memory Verse: God is the Creator of the Earth. (from Isaiah 40:28)
- Biblical Concept: God created a colorful world.
- Concept in Action: I can learn about colors.
- Snack: Rice Krispy bars
Connect With Other MOMS!
Do you have a blog or business that you'd like to share with the other moms in our group? Send us an email with your URL and we'll share it on the sidebar of our main Maple Grove MOPS blog!
**Please remember that we only want to
connect with blogs that are honoring to Jesus and to one another, and
that will not be a stumbling block to anyone who "stumbles" upon our
blog.
